We're seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You'll play a critical role in preparing winning bids and supporting our commercial and public sector work, including libraries, schools, and transportation systems. This is a key behind-the-scenes role for someone who's analytical, resourceful, and systems-oriented.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate estimates and detailed proposals for public works and commercial electrical projects
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and RFPs to determine project scope
  • Research material and labor costs, negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors
  • Coordinate pre-bid submissions and qualification packages
  • Lead takeoffs using Accubid and other estimating tools; maintain bid tracking systems
  • Communicate with project managers, engineers, foremen, and external stakeholders
  • Develop and refine internal estimating procedures and documentation standards
  • Stay up to date with codes, estimating tech, and market trends
  • Participate in post-bid reviews and debriefs


Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of electrical estimating experience in commercial or public works projects
  • Experience with Accubid or similar estimating software
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, NEC/local codes, and construction means/methods
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and (ideally) Procore
  • Self-starter with a collaborative spirit and a commitment to excellence
  • Field electrician experience or an electrical license is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent trade background
  • Experience in estimating Prevailing Wage projects
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and Google Suite


Compensation & Benefits

  • Full-time position
  • Competitive salary range at $110,000 to $135,000 depending on experience
