We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Construction Superintendent to oversee our public works and commercial projects across the Portland Metro area. You'll work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and field teams to deliver safe, high-quality work on time and on budget. This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced field environment and is passionate about mentoring crews and maintaining top-tier standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate on-site construction activities for public works and commercial projects
• Ensure jobsite safety and compliance with company and regulatory protocols
• Supervise daily operations, site logistics, subcontractors, and crew performance
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to maintain schedules, budgets, and project goals
• Maintain accurate daily field reports, job logs, and progress tracking
• Conduct quality control checks and resolve jobsite issues proactively
• Ensure material deliveries, inspections, and installations meet project requirements
• Facilitate clear communication with clients, inspectors, and internal stakeholders
• Uphold and model RJ Ramos' core values and foster a positive site culture

Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar commercial/public works construction leadership role
• Experience with general contracting and/or electrical scopes is strongly preferred
• Background in public sector projects such as transit, civic buildings, libraries, or educational facilities
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and field reporting tools
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Full-time position
• Competitive salary range at $85,000 to $105,000 per year, depending on experience
